The process
The video
With this video I wanted to take the classic YouTube tutorial style and apply it to something else. I researched a bunch of typical princess storys and wrote down all the obstacles there is for a prince to overcome to get his princess. I summarized it and picked the most common ones to create a story board with all you need to rescue a princess. But I made a twist, this time it’s the prince that needs saving.
The characters are colorful and childish, as well as the surroundings. I used simple, rounded shapes in the illustrations and the animations is a bit exaggerated to make it easy to understand as well as it enhances the childish, cartoon-feeling.
